Innovation Nation: Viscira® Digital Tour Resumes in Earnest Across the Country

2019 Marks the Third Year for Viscira’s Digital Innovation for Healthcare Roadshow

San Francisco, CA (March 26, 2019) - Viscira, a leading provider of digital marketing solutions and software products for the life sciences industry, is pleased to announce plans for its third annual Digital Innovation Roadshow, also known as “Innovation Nation.” The goal of Innovation Nation is to keep life sciences companies on the cutting edge of all things digital by creating a forum to review and discuss the latest and greatest technology trends, platforms, and applications.

Viscira’s Innovation Nation is a strategic, user-centered approach to addressing some of the major challenges facing life sciences companies. Using an “Educate, Experience, and Apply” framework, it is a creative way to bring the latest technologies to clients through a series of on-site interactive sessions, demos, and discussions. At its core, Innovation Nation is a collaboration between Viscira and its life sciences clients to explore the use of new technologies, to define new digital experiences and content-delivery media, and to help gain greater insights into how to apply cutting-edge technologies more effectively in different use cases or user experience scenarios.

Last year, Viscira’s Innovation Nation team logged over 100,000 miles traveling to major cities across the US, from Los Angeles to Seattle on the West Coast, to Illinois and Indiana in the Midwest, to Boston, Atlanta, and New York on the East Coast. Viscira’s Innovation Nation team presented to a wide range of audiences, including promotional marketing, medical affairs, commercial operations, HEOR (health economics and outcomes research), and IT teams. In total, Viscira’s Innovation Nation team visited 19 leading life sciences companies, representing almost a 100% increase in participation from the previous year. The company intends to grow this list even further in 2019.

The Innovation Nation team showcased a diverse set of virtual reality (VR) solutions and technologies—from headset-based VR (e.g., Oculus Rift or Go), to mobile-based VR (e.g., Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard), and to web- or browser-based VR, including 360 video experiences. The team also showcased holograms and holographic content, augmented reality (AR) solutions (e.g., Microsoft HoloLens), artificial intelligence (AI), audio or voice assistants, and chat bots, etc.

Viscira® Celebrates San Francisco Design Week

Company Selected to Host Two Creative Programs as Part of SF Design Week 2018

Viscira, a leading provider of digital marketing solutions and software products for the life sciences industry, is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming San Francisco Design Week, which will be held June 7-15, 2018. SF Design Week spans the entire Bay Area and offers over 225 events, including workshops, exhibitions, panels, studio crawls, and open studios and featuring world-renowned designers, entrepreneurs, and innovative thought leaders.

Viscira was selected to host two unique programs that will take place at its SF headquarters at 200 Vallejo Street. These events are described below:

1. AR Storytelling in Life Sciences
Viscira will host a panel discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges of storytelling in augmented reality. We will share our experiences with developing AR programs in the life sciences industry and within various healthcare settings, including trade shows, training sessions, and clinical interactions.

The panel will be moderated by Lia Bailey, Senior Interactive Producer at Viscira. Lia has more than eight years of production experience, with six of those years focused primarily on animation and AR projects. In addition to panelists from Viscira’s own Design Team, the other panel participants include:

  • Sorob Louie, the founder of VirtuLabs, an innovation lab focused on AR and VR and cutting-edge experiential applications.
  • Tyler Wilson, UX Designer at Helios Interactive. Tyler has been prototyping and designing user experiences for five years, focusing on AR and VR experiences to create easy-to-use, fun, and innovative applications for world-leading brands.

2. Digital Solutions in Healthcare: A Guerrilla Design Workshop
This hands-on workshop will allow participants to experience what it might be like to design for a fast-paced digital agency. The workshop is structured to give participants a taste of agency life in the digital healthcare space.

The workshop will start with a “client” kickoff, where participants will learn about the client’s patient outreach strategy for the launch of a fictional breakthrough drug. Using a small group format, we will conduct a round of design process steps, including ideation, prototyping, and presentation to our client for review.
