Viscira® Releases QuickFlip™ Technology for the Apple iPad® and Other Tablets

Viscira, a leading provider of interactive, new-media communication and technology solutions for the life sciences industry, today announced the release of its QuickFlip technology. This patent-pending software leverages the gyroscope capability of the iPad and other tablet devices to deliver dynamic content that a field sales rep can quickly access based on the physical orientation of the device.

This enables sales reps and other field staff to instantly customize their detailing presentations for longer engagements or for very brief interactions with target healthcare professionals by changing the device from landscape mode to portrait mode and back.

“We developed this technology in response to our clients’ need for more flexibility during their sales calls,” explains Rodwin Pabello, Viscira’s Director of Visual and Interaction Design. “With QuickFlip, field sales staff can really make the most of every interaction with a customer whether it's long or very brief.”

Although QuickFlip is embedded within Viscira’s own vDetail interactive detailing platform, it can also be adapted for other sales detailing and CRM platforms in use in the industry, including Veeva iRep. QuickFlip is currently being deployed for major life science clients.

“We are extremely excited about this new mobile innovation that helps address a key customer need,” says Dave Gulezian, President & CEO of Viscira. “We’re pleased that it’s already generating very positive feedback from clients and look forward to further enhancing this technology.”

QuickFlip is just one example of how Viscira is capitalizing on the growing trend of tablet usage by physicians, patients and life sciences companies. The company continues to see strong demand for its distinctive mobile apps, and will continue to fully leverage its software development expertise and unique production capabilities to make further advancements in this area.
