Viscira®, a leading provider of interactive, new-media communication and technology solutions for the life sciences industry, is featured in a new client testimonial video launched by The Foundry. The video was recently unveiled alongside the company’s re-branded website.

The piece promotes the key features and benefits of MODO, a 3D modeling, painting, animation and rendering software solution, and includes an interview with Hagop (Kane) Kaneboughazian, Viscira’s Vice President of Animation, as well as samples of Viscira’s industry-leading 3D animation work.

“We created this video to showcase the many ways that MODO is used to create amazing visuals in a wide range of industries, “explained Bill Collis, CEO of The Foundry. “Viscira is a particularly interesting example of a MODO client and we are thrilled to highlight their work. The incredibly high quality and striking 3D medical animation they are creating is a testament to both the creative talent at Viscira and the innovative MODO toolsets.”

The animation team at Viscira has delivered hundreds of programs since the company’s inception in 2007, and is continually raising the bar for medical animation production. Viscira’s animations are deployed via a variety of channels including iPad, web, conventions and broadcast. The company also delivers fully interactive, stereoscopic, and augmented reality versions of these animations.

The artists at Viscira come from a wide range of backgrounds. Many are veterans from the film industry who have worked on movies that include Antz, Jimmy Neutron and Alice in Wonderland. Their experience includes prior work at leading film production and visual effects companies like Pixar and Lucasfilm.

Viscira’s 3D animations can be customized for healthcare professionals, as well as for patients. In addition to Viscira’s in-house 3D team, multiple functions contribute to the company’s award winning animations including medical writers, concept artists, storyboard artists and motion graphics developers.

Viscira’s next-generation 3D animations are just one of many new-media solutions and software products the company offers, which range from a robust online speaker portal (OSP) platform to dynamic enhanced video presentation modules, and from interactive medical case study programs to high-impact sales and educational applications for the iPad.
