Viscira® Welcomes New Senior Director of Video

Mike Goldberg Joins Company in a Leadership Role Heading Up the Video and Motion Graphics Department

Viscira, a leading provider of digital marketing solutions and software products for the life sciences industry, is proud to announce that Mike Goldberg has joined the company as its new Senior Director of Video. Working closely with the executive team, Mike will lead the strategic and day-to-day operational oversight of Viscira’s video content creation, production, and post-production capabilities. He will also oversee the company’s ongoing motion graphics development efforts, driving further innovation in this area.

Mike brings to Viscira his passion for coming up with big, creative ideas, as well as his deep understanding of how to create real brand value through memorable storytelling. He has devoted his 25-year career in advertising to helping build some of the world’s most prominent brands. As a former Vice President and Creative Director at Hill Holliday in New York and later at McCann Erickson, Mike had a creative leadership role on national broadcast and integrated, multi-channel digital marketing campaigns at ESPN, Verizon, BlackBerry, Staples, Citibank, and Coca-Cola.

Most recently, Mike was the Creative Director at a boutique creative agency in San Francisco, where he created a global social media video campaign for Mentos Gum that changed the way Mentos markets itself. Mike wrote and directed 21 videos in six days. The creative campaign received millions of views on the first day alone and delivered meaningful financial impact for the brand. Mike also created an integrated digital, social, and traditional campaign for The Weather Channel featuring weather nerds who use the app to seek out extreme weather for fun. The campaign received 5 million organic YouTube views in just under a week and boosted usage of the Weather Channel mobile app.

“We’re very happy to have Mike join our extended leadership team here at Viscira. He’s a great guy and a very talented Creative Director with a lot of campaign development and storytelling experience with major brands,” said Rick Barker, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Viscira. “He approaches creative concepts and creative problem solving from a strategic perspective, which will resonate with our clients.”

“I’m very excited to join the Viscira team and bring state-of-the-art storytelling and video content to an already talented and accomplished team,” commented Goldberg.
